For nine months we knew we would be leaving California for Nashville. For those nine months we prepared, decluttered, and made plans of how we were going to get out family and all of our belongings across the country. Initially we planned on packing up a moving truck and having Josh drive the truck and pull his car behind it. I was going to follow him in the Yukon with the kids behind him. After thinking a ton and pricing things out, we decided to go the easiest route possible and hire a moving company to move our things and then we shipped Josh's car out to Nashville. We decided to turn out trek into a road trip and make the drive as much fun as possible! The day of moving we sat back and watched the movers load our entire house up. It was worth every penny! We didn't lift a finger.....until they left. Then it was time to clean! We really wanted to get the full deposit back from our landlord so we made sure to leave the house better than when we got it! After cleaning for hours, we loaded up the last of our things into our car, and drove to AZ. It was a crazy day, and it got crazier when we were rear ended on our way out of LA:) It was almost like we were getting a little kick in the butt on our way out!
Our house on Kanan Rd. It was the first house(rather than apartment) we ever lived in as a family and we loved it! It was also the first time we had a backyard, room for visitors and more than 2 bedrooms! We have some great memories in that house even though we only lived there for a year!
