Disneyland

We went an entire year (actually 11 months) without stepping foot inside the Happiest Place on Earth.  I know that sounds ridiculous, but considering the fact that for the previous 4 years we visited it regularly, an entire year seemed like forever!  

Josh was going to the California Dental Convention down in Anaheim and since the convention center is just across the street from Disneyland, we all decided to join him!  We decided to surprise the kids.  The night before we were going we told Zoie and Zack where we would be spending the next 2 days!  They were soooo excited.  

We left our house bright and early at 6:30am so we could beat some of the morning traffic in LA and get down to Anaheim in time to get a good breakfast and enter the park when it opened!  Josh was at the convention for most of the first day so it was just myself and the kids at the park.  It was a little crazy, but thankfully out friends from dental school the Christensens, were also there so we all helped each other out!

Just walking to the park I thought Zack was going to die of excitement.  The buses had Buzz on them and he thought it was the coolest thing in the world!  

We spent most of the first day in California Adventure.  They recently re did parts of it and it is so much fun!  Josh met up with us in the evening and we went over to disneyland to watch the parade, take Zack on the Buzz ride (best day of his life), grab some dinner and get in a few more rides before the park closed.  Day 1: a total success.

Day 2 we got there and went straight to the fast pass line for tickets to the new Radiator Springs ride in Cars Land.  The line was long.  Like wrap around a few buildings long.  I didn't think we would get tickets, but we did!  This was our first time seeing the new Cars Land and it did not disappoint!  

We stayed late into the night watching the parades, fireworks and getting in as many rides as we could!  Im not sure who was more giddy about the experience, myself or the kids. It really was such a fun couple of days with our little family and I can't wait to take them back!

While the boys were napping Josh and Zoie went on Splash Mountain.  It was her first time and she loved it...."except for the part where it goes down"!
